Adults of Chrysomela populi used for x-ray micro-computed tomography (μ-CT) were dehydrated with ethanol and dried at the critical point, and were scanned with a Skyscan 1172 μ-CT at the Beijing Institute of Technology (beam strength: 40 keV). The scanned image sequence stack was used for the 3-dimensional reconstructions and anatomical studies of the adult head of Chrysomela populi.
