pH measurements using a Lab-on-Chip sensor on a Seaglider in the Amundsen Sea, Antarctica, January - February 2022.

A Lab-on-Chip spectrophotometric pH sensor was attached to an underwater profiling glider and deployed in front of the Dotson Ice Shelf front. The pH sensor collected a pH measurement approximately every 8 minutes, providing the highest resolution pH dataset in this region to date. The glider completed a 'box' transect in front of Dotson Ice Shelf and collected data over a 3 week period completing 246 dives. The glider was also equipped with a CT sensor which collected temperature and salinity measurements. The deployment was performed with the University of East Anglia (UEA) Seaglider sg579 on 21 January 2022 and pH data stopped recording on 8 February 2022. The deployment was part of the Nathaniel B Palmer 2202 cruise and the TARSAN and ARTEMIS projects.
