资源简介:
These Access Tables contain information on artifacts from the Eaton site. Four tables (Levels 1-4)and a fifth table (Extras) each contain records for 259 2m x 2m excavation units. Each of these tables contain 33 columns reflecting data categories (debris, utilized flakes, etc.). Levels 1 and 2 combined are the plow zone. Successive levels are 10 cm. in thickness. The Extras table contains data from any lower levels, features, or wall scrapings. Clarification of the above tables: Units 24S 10W and 22S 8W are not complete units and are not used in GIS mapping. Debris counts do not include utilized flakes or other lithic tools. Frag = core fragments at least 1 inch by .75 inch by .75 inch., Cores do not include exhausted cores. ExCore = exhausted cores, UtFlk = utilized flakes (not counted as debris). Excludes utilized notches. B2 = Second stage biface preform (after Callahan 1979), B25 = Stage 2.5 biface preform (an elaboration of Callahan 1979), B3 = Third Stage biface preforms, B35 = Stage 3.5 biface preform, LS = Late Stage Biface Preform (Stage 4 - Complete), Bf = Biface fragment, unknown stage, Scp = whole scrapers, BkScp = broken scrapers, Endscp = endscrapers, Bkendscrp = broken endscrapers, Spoke = spokeshave scraper (notch). Includes utilized flakes with a notch showing use wear. Knife = whole knives, Knifebx = broken knives, Drill = drills, awls, gravers, and burins (broken and whole), Pts = Whole Madison Points, Pttp = point tips, Ptbse = point bases (Madison), Ptmd = point mid-sections, Multi = Multi-purpose tool (functions may include cutting, scraping, and/or drilling), Tool = tool fragment, indeterminant function, Grind = ground stone tool with a grinding function (grinding slabs, metates, handstone/manos), Pound = ground stone with a pounding puction (hammerstones, mortars, pestles, anvils), Chop = ground stone with a chopping function (celts, axes, adzes), Smooth - ground stone with a smoothing function (whetstone, abrader), Shrds = sherds including rims (not vessel counts), Pipe = pipes and pipe fragments, fcr = fire altered rock in kilograms, bone = see separate faunal document, yr = year the unit was excavated. See field report for that year for more information on the unit.
