Perceived weight change and associated factors among Brazilian university students: a multicenter cross-sectional study PLOS One

This dataset contains anonymized data from a quantitative, cross-sectional, analytical observational study conducted among 2,888 undergraduate university students in Brazil. Data were collected between February 28, 2023, and December 31, 2023, through an online questionnaire administered using Google Forms. The study was conducted across four Brazilian universities: the University of São Paulo (USP), the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), and the Federal University of Acre (UFAC). The dataset includes information collected for the study “Perceived weight change and associated factors among Brazilian university students: a multicenter cross-sectional study,” including variables related to perceived weight change and other sociodemographic, anthropometric, behavioral, and health-related characteristics. The dataset is fully anonymized and is provided to support transparency and reproducibility of the research findings. The SPSS dataset includes a data dictionary describing the variables and their coding.
