Closing the feedback loop in building design: A systematic framework for integrating performance insights into design decisions
收藏资源简介:
This research introduces a systematic decision-making approach, Experiential Design Decision-Making (EDDM), to improve how future buildings are designed. In the building industry, valuable lessons from existing buildings are often not utilised when designing new buildings, which can lead to repetition of performance inefficiencies. This research demonstrates how real-world building performance insights can be systematically captured and applied to guide better design decisions in future projects. By learning from real building performance, the EDDM approach helps designers to make more informed, reliable design decisions. Ultimately, this research provides a pathway for creating better-performing, more efficient, and more resilient buildings in the future.
