Eye-tracking during language production

This dataset was collected as part of the project Eye-tracking during language production, a pilot study designed to inform a subsequent investigation involving young-stroke patients. The Data Acquisition Collection contains raw data obtained from 20 university students. Participants performed a series of controlled language production tasks, including picture naming and picture description. These tasks were designed to elicit semi-spontaneous spoken language. Two types of data were recorded simultaneously. 1) Audio data: recordings of participants’ verbal responses during the tasks. 2) Eye-tracking data: recordings of gaze behavior, including fixations, captured during task performance. All data are stored in their original, unprocessed format to allow for reuse and reanalysis. The dataset serves as a methodological and technical pilot, enabling validation of the experimental setup, assessment of data quality, and optimization of procedures for future data collection in clinical populations. The data collection was conducted under controlled laboratory conditions. Participants provided informed consent prior to participation, and data were handled in accordance with applicable ethical and data protection regulations.
