Marine science at USC, 1974 (student film)

Marine science at the University of Southern California, 1974 June-July. The film consists of more than a 35 short clips filmed by USC Cinema students (Grosz, director; Jordan, cameraman) for an untitled production (no. 73-PU-082) which document the USC marine science graduate student experience. Many scenes and multiple takes are included generally in the order they were shot in locations including Santa Monica, Venice, the Los Angeles Harbor, San Pedro, Marina Del Rey, and Catalina Island. There is a lot of footage from the Wrigley Marine Science Center (Catalina Island) and from the Hancock Foundation research vessel Velero IV. While many of the takes include clapper board information, some of the film is not explicitly identified as part of the production and so may not actually have been intented to be part of it. These films are brought together here because they all have similar identification numbers written on the 13 films themselves.
