Dataset and analyses of global ant bioregions

Dataset, shapefiles and scripts used for the analyses of global ant regionalizations The dataset contains the following files: - "Dataset.zip" containing: 1) " site_genus_matrix_hexraw.csv", “site_genus_matrix_hexsdm.csv”, “site_species_matrix_hexsdm.csv”: Site presence matrix of genus/species based on raw distributional data (_hexraw) and range estimates (_hexsdm). 2) "genus_list_phylo_org.csv", “genus_list_phylo_upd.csv”, “species_list_phylo_org.csv”, “species_list_phylo_upd.csv”: List of genus/species used for calculating phylogenetic turnover, including their original name (_org) in the phylogenetic trees from Economo et al. [Economo, E. P., Narula, N., Friedman, N. R., Weiser, M. D., & Guénard, B. Macroecology and macroevolution of the latitudinal diversity gradient in ants. Nat. Commun. 9, 1–8 (2018).] and the updated nomenclature (_upd). 3)“bioregion_genus_psim.csv”, “bioregion_genus_tsim.csv”, “bioregion_species_psim.csv”, “bioregion_species_tsim.csv”: The phylogenetic and taxonomic regionalization results of hexagon at the genus- and species-level. - " Hexgon shapefile": Shapefile for the equal-area hexagon grids (5×104 km2, Behrman projection) used in this study. - “Final global ant bioregions.zip”: The final global biogeographic realms and regions of ant genera and species. - “R script for ant regionalization analysis.R”: Script of regionalization process in this study, including clustering and ordination analyses.
