Immunological Risk Factors for Death Within 12 Weeks of Initiating Antiretroviral Therapy.

All variables were calculated using absolute numbers. 36 participants died within 12 weeks of follow up. All variables were dichotomized; univariate logistic regression models were constructed comparing the upper half of the distribution with the lower half. Multivariate analysis was done using a Cox regression model, and was adjusted for, total CD4 and CD8 counts plus BMI, haemoglobin, sex and grip strength.
