Source data for the study: Flower patterns improve foraging efficiency in bumblebees independent of nectary guidance MeasurementsPatternColour.xlsx: relative reflectance measurements of the two colours used in the artificial flowers  TrackData contains folders with the data used for analysis of the bees flight and walking tracks for all conditions: no, line, cross, icross (inner cross), ocross (outer cross). Each folder contains one .mat file per animal with the following identifiers: allRotData_AnimalID_patternID_recordingDate&Time BGi+ (foreground, background - B=blue, G=yellow, pattern type - cross: +, line: -, i = inner, o=outer). Each file contains the following data, all rotated to that the patterns main axis (or the closest axis in the case of crosses) is parallel to the Y-Axis of the coordinate system: outlineR: 4 points marking outline of the circle of the flower patternR: base points of the pattern pixPerMM: pixels corresponding to 1mm allHeadR, allThoraxR: x and y coordinates of the head and thorax for 5 flower inspections of this bee allProbR: indicates all times during which the bee is walking or sitting on the flower by ~NaN entries timeBouts: start and end timepoints of walking/sitting phase on the flower for all approaches feedBouts: start and end timepoints of feeding phase on the flower for all approaches allDataR: stores the allProbR, allHeadR, allThoraxR, allOutlineR, allPatternR)
