Photograph of the intake structure of the Colorado River Aqueduct on the Colorado River, June 11, 1941. The intake is at right and is connected to the shore at left by a suspension bridge. The intake is a cylindrical structure that stands about twenty feet above water level. A narrow walkway goes around the structure. Both the bridge and the intake are light-colored. The rippled water of the lake can be seen below the bridge, and mountains are visible in the distance.
