A price survey conducted at supermarkets in Kagoshima City revealed that the average price of 1 kg of cherries in July 2024 was 4,781 yen. The price of 1 kg of cherries in Kagoshima City is 662 yen higher than the national average. Over the period from January 2015 to July 2024 (a span of 20 months), the month with the highest cherry price in Kagoshima City's supermarkets was June 2021, at 4,851 yen, whereas the month with the lowest price was June 2017, at 2,207 yen. The price difference between the peak (June 2021) and the lowest (June 2017) price periods of cherries in the Kagoshima City area is 662 yen.
