Finding sustainable fertilization has been a quest. We have set to evaluate how a soil amendment would modulate soil microbiome and enzyme activity. We have found consistently increased enzyme activities as well as a reshaped bacteria community was assembled. There were enrichment of plant-growth-promoting bacteria. Findings are relevant as amendment enriched with Bacillus can modulate soil microbiome to a plant-positive assembly. Amendment can collaborate to reduce application of mineral fertilizers in the field.
