Noradrenergic specific transcriptomics in males with or without MDD and with or without CA [RNA-seq of laser captured cells in the LC]

We performed high-throughput RNA-seq specifically in the noradrenergic (NE) cells of the locus coeruleus (LC) in four different groups of male subjects: Control (CTL), natural cause of death, Depression-Suicide (DS), suffering from major depressive disorder (MDD) and died by suicide, Depression-Suicide-Child Abuse (DS-CA), suffering from MDD, history of CA and died bu suicide and the Child Abuse-no depression (RES-CA), exposed to CA, but not known MDD. The noradrenergic cells of LC were collected using laser capture microdissection (LCM), then sequenced on a Illumina NextSeq 2000 sequencer. We compared gene expression in the NE cells between the four groups.
