资源简介:
Heat stress exerts a significant detrimental impact on the chalkiness of rice kernels. The interaction between the embryo and endosperm plays a crucial role in seed filling, which is an essential process in chalkiness formation. Current researches primarily focus on endosperm to elucidate the regulatory mechanism underlying chalkiness formation under high temperature (HT), while neglecting the influence of the embryo. Therefore, we utilized of notch-belly rice mutant (NB) as the material and set HT treatment during the grain filling stage. With the aid of a unique embryo effect evaluation system constructed using NB, we investigated the evidence regarding the influence of embryos on endosperm development under high temperature conditions and elucidated its correlation with chalkiness formation.
