NATMed Decision-Making Tool – Structured Catalogue of Full Water-Cycle Nature-based and Technological Solutions for Water Management in the Mediterranean
收藏资源简介:
This dataset is a structured catalogue of Full Water-Cycle Nature-based Solutions (FWC-NbS) and complementary technological solutions compiled as input to the NATMed Decision-Making Tool. It contains 21 solution entries organised as individual worksheets, each following a common template with the following sections: General Classification (NbS type, ecosystem services addressed, full water-cycle infrastructure, implementation type); Technical Details (vegetation, surface, capacity, location, maintenance); Legal and policy description; Economic description; Main impacts and benefits; Risks and barriers; Maintenance and management; Suggested Key Performance Indicators; and Additional information/sources. The entries cover a range of solutions relevant to Mediterranean contexts, including riparian forest restoration, buffer strips, constructed wetlands, managed aquifer recharge, forested infiltration areas, rain gardens, floating gardens, urban green infrastructure, infiltration basins, seawater intrusion protection, conservation and climate-resilient agriculture, livestock management, distribution system upgrades, and ultrasound-based treatment technologies. The catalogue compiles information from publicly available sources (OPPLA case studies, peer-reviewed literature, project deliverables) combined with structured interpretation following the NATMed template. The dataset supports the NATMed Decision-Making Tool developed under Work Package 4, designed to assist water authorities, SMEs, and practitioners in selecting and designing FWC-NbS interventions tailored to Mediterranean water management challenges.
