Puccinia horiana isolate:PA-11 Transcriptome or Gene expression

Chrysanthemum white rust is a disease of horticultural crops, capable of severely limiting production in the US and Europe, and is a target of US import detection at ports of entry. The causal agent, Puccinia horiana, is an obligate parasite that reproduces on many cultivars of commercial chrysanthemum, and fungicide resistance is emerging in some cultivars. Using RNA sequencing and transcriptome assembly, we developed a sequence reference of transcripts in germinating basidiospores of Puccinia horiana and annotated protein expression for development of molecular diagnostic tools.
