This repository contains the datasets, instruments, and analysis scripts supporting the study titled "Ethical governance of AI in educational digital transformation: Evidence from China and implications for equity, innovation, and global education systems." It includes the following materials: Data Dictionary.docx: Provides detailed variable definitions and coding schemes for the quantitative dataset. Supplementary File 1.docx: The full 44-item questionnaire measuring AI use intensity, five ethical dilemma dimensions, moderating variables, and demographic information. Supplementary File 2.docx: Semi-structured interview guides, the thematic coding tree (with five main themes), coding rules, and representative expert quotations. Supplementary File 3.docx: The complete MATLAB R2024b analysis scripts used for data processing, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), ANOVA, moderation analysis, and figure generation. data.xlsx: The processed and anonymized quantitative dataset used in the analysis (N = 612). Note on data accessibility: The raw qualitative interview transcripts are not publicly available due to participant confidentiality agreements mandated by the Institutional Review Board, but they are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request.
