Recycling Of anode Material From Spent Lithium-Ion Batteries - A Review

Different pre-treatment and mechanical processes are discussed in this paper with the aim to produce black mass from end-of-life batteries which is further separated into cathode and anode (graphite) materials. A proposed separation flowsheet consisting of several processes is given at the end of the paper and the flowsheet consists of all processes involved during the recycle of graphite from spent LIBs, these processes are all industrially scalable.
