LANDSAT

LANDSAT satellite imagery of the State of Hawaii. This satellite image mosaic covers all the main Hawaiian Islands with a blue ocean image filled into the ocean areas. The land imagery are composites of multiple images from the Landsat satellite and are substantially cloud-free. They were produced in true color (using bands 3, 2 and 1) and pan-sharpened using band 8 to produce a spatial resolution of 15 meters. The imagery was then resampled to 12.5 meters. The ocean fill image is a replicated portion of one of the Landsat images. A land/ocean mask was used to integrate the Landsat imagery and blue ocean fill image into a single image.
