VPRS 17690 Photographic Negative Register

This series is the register to VPRS 17684 Photographic Collection, Master Negatives and Digitised Images.This register was used by the in-house Photographic Services Section of the Country Roads Board (VA 722) and its successors for the purposes of allocating a unique number to every negative used, to record details about the image and to track film stockThe register typically contains the following field headings - Negative Number (Neg. No); Caption; Municipal Number (Mun. No.); Division (Div./Div. No.); Highway Number (High No./H'Way No.); Date Taken; Print; Cross Reference (X Ref).The sub-headings and information contained in the registers varies from year to year.Note: The P0002 Consignment of this series consists of the Town/shires Index for the Municipality Numbers (Mun. No.).Some negative entries have the notation 'CULL', ie. the negative has been culled from the collection. In addition, not every entry within the register necessarily has an actual negative.
