Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE), such as Klebsiella pneumoniae, are classified as critical on the World Health Organization's list of priority pathogens. The MIC value from the drug susceptibility test is an important factor in evaluating CRE, but it is known that the results of this test are affected by various factors such as the condition of the strain, the thickness and freshness of the culture medium. The type of drug resistance genes carried by the test strains is also important. For this reason, when comparing the results of drug susceptibility testing of the same strain at multiple testing facilities, it is often found that the values differ slightly. Therefore, it is important to use reference strains with stable MIC values as quality control strains in order to conduct highly accurate drug susceptibility testing. We isolated Escherichia coli strain KA0011 with a stable MIC value of 2ug/ml against meropenem. In this study, we will analyze the complete genomic DNA sequence of strain KA0011.
