资源简介:
Cardiac hypertrophy is a phenotypic response to pressure over load and is associated with heart failure. Initial compensatory response enhances the heart contractility with thickening of the wall but chronic hemodynamic overload ultimately leads cardiac decompensation. Although several studies have addressed the dynamic changes in gene expression associated with progression of cardiac hypertrophy, alteration of translating mRNAs remains obscure. To determine the association between translation efficiency of mRNAs and pathological condition of cardiac hypertrophy, we conducted ribosome profiling (RIBO-seq) for mouse hearts after transverse aortic constriction (TAC). In this study, we analyzed the hearts 24 hours (hyperacute phase), 48 hours (acute phase), 1 weeks (compensatory phase), and 8 weeks (decompensatory phase) after surgery to confirm the time-dependent alteration of mRNA translations.
