Digital Data from an Archaeological Evaluation and Strip, Map and Sample Excavation at Park Lane Liverpool, Merseyside 2022

This collection comprises a digital archive of photographs, CAD drawings and scanned site records from a programme of archaeological works by Archaeological Research Services Ltd at Park Lane, Liverpool, Merseyside.
The works consisted of evaluation trenching undertaken between February and March 2022, and a strip, map and sample (SMS) excavation between March and April 2022.
Truncated remains of late 18th/early 19th century warehouses as well as a terrace of contemporary houses and shops were encountered during the evaluation works.
Truncated remains of four courtyard houses, including a cellar, were encountered during the SMS excavation, as well as the footprint of a late 18th or early 19th century warehouse with a possible loading bay. All of these features were truncated by a subsequent early 20th century warehouse which encompassed the entire northwestern part of the site.
