Stage 5 extends the Reality Audit project from qualitative double-slit benchmarking to a more physically faithful small quantum-style interferometer benchmark. In this stage, the repository was expanded to include an advanced quantum double-slit module with explicit path coherence, which-path distinguishability, decoherence control, eraser-style conditional recovery, and a 100-run stability study. The objective of this stage was not to simulate the full physical universe, but to construct a controlled small-system benchmark whose behavior is governed by quantum-style rules rather than by visual imitation or hard-coded outcomes. The benchmark was integrated with the existing audit framework, tested extensively, and committed to the repository. The final reported status was 720/720 tests passing, with all Stage 5 audit questions passing and the benchmark committed at 5d222a7. The primary result of this stage is that the repository now contains a quantum-style benchmark that reliably distinguishes coherent, which-path, and decohered conditions, reproduces the expected visibility–distinguishability tradeoff, shows monotonic loss of interference under increasing distinguishability, and demonstrates conditional fringe recovery in eraser-style conditions. Across 100 runs, the benchmark remained stable and strongly separated coherent from which-path behavior. This does not establish that the physical universe is a simulation. It does, however, materially strengthen the project by showing that the audit framework can recognize and validate a canonical observer-sensitive benchmark inside the repository. 1. Purpose of Stage 5 The purpose of Stage 5 was to upgrade the earlier double-slit benchmark into a more physically faithful small quantum-style model. Previous work had already established that the repository could host a qualitative double-slit benchmark and that the audit layer could detect coherence versus measurement-like suppression. Stage 5 was designed to go further by introducing: • explicit detector overlap and path distinguishability, • a visibility–distinguishability relation, • decoherence sweep behavior, • quantum-eraser-style recovery conditions, • and repeated-run aggregation to determine whether the benchmark remained stable under repetition. The central methodological question for Stage 5 was: Can the repository support a compact quantum-style benchmark that behaves according to the expected logic of coherence, measurement, and decoherence, while remaining auditable and reproducible? Based on the reported results, the answer is yes.
