Experimental Data, MATLAB Scripts, and CAD Files for a Sensory Feedback Device for Upper-limb Prostheses

This dataset contains the experimental data, MATLAB analysis scripts, and CAD files used for modeling and characterization of a sensory feedback device designed for upper-limb prostheses. The repository supports the work titled “Design and Development of a Human-Hand-Inspired Tactile Display: Conveying Phalangeal Forces and Grip Patterns to the Upper Arm” The data include raw voltage signals recorded from the actuator and muscle parameters experiments during parameter identification experiments, along with scripts for transfer-function estimation, curve-fitting comparison, and a simple thermal budget analysis. CAD file of the actuator coil bobbin is provided for reference and reproducibility. Each MATLAB script is fully commented and corresponds to a specific step in the system-identification workflow: Importing raw signal data Estimating the actuator transfer function using the System Identification Toolbox Comparing model outputs with measured data and computing the fit percentage Performing thermal analysis to determine safe current limits under natural convection All files are intended to facilitate transparent verification of the device’s performance and to support further research in prosthetic sensory feedback, electromechanical actuator design, and thermally safe wearable interfaces.
