The genomic data of Vulcanisaeta thermophila CBA1501 beloning to the family Thermoproteaceae of the phylum crenarchaeota, were obtained using the MiSeq platform. The draft genome of Vulcanisaeta thermophila CBA1501 contains 2,022,594 bp. Detailed genomic analyses and comparative studies with other crenarchaeal genomes will give further information and insight into the metabolism of crenarchaeal species.
