The SAIPIENT Study: Spirituality and AI: Psychology, Identity, Emergence and New Theologies This restricted-access record contains fully anonymised survey data and documentation from The SAIPIENT Study, conducted at King’s College London. The study examines adults’ spiritual, reflective, existential and meaning-making engagements with artificial intelligence systems, including AI-related spiritual experiences, self-reported AI awakening, beliefs about AI sentience and agency, religious/spiritual background, psychedelic experience, emotional and relational responses to AI, perceived life impact, mental health context, and open-text narrative accounts. Files may include the raw Qualtrics export, an initial cleaned dataset, codebook materials, and supporting documentation. The dataset was collected anonymously and is deposited for preservation, collaborative analysis, and future research access. Access is currently restricted to allow the study team and approved collaborators to complete the planned initial outputs from the SAIPIENT study. After this initial publication period, access requests will be reviewed by the study team on a case-by-case basis for bona fide academic research purposes, subject to appropriate data-sharing terms. Approved users must not attempt participant re-identification, redistribute the data, or use it outside the agreed research purpose.
