MicroGlam

MicroGlam is a microscopic skin image dataset developed by The University of Tokyo, focusing on the effects of cosmetics on human skin. This dataset contains 45 skin patch images collected from the dorsal hand regions of 9 participants, with each patch image sized at 800×800 pixels, covering three types of cosmetics: foundation, blush, and highlighter. During the development of this dataset, the research team designed a capture device integrating a microscopic lens and 16 LEDs to capture 600 images of each skin patch under varying lighting conditions within 30 seconds. The MicroGlam dataset aims to address the realism challenge in virtual cosmetic applications, providing high-quality data support for cosmetic rendering by accurately capturing the interaction between cosmetics and the microscopic structure of human skin.
