Kastner IT Research Archive

A structured archive of research studies, articles, memoirs, expert reports, and related artifacts spanning 1972–2026, centered on the work of Peter S. Kastner at Aberdeen Group, Arthur D. Little, Philip Hankins Inc. (PHI) Computer Services / Wang, Digital Equipment Corporation, Stratus Computer, Prime Computer, and Obian Group, plus contributions from other Aberdeen analysts. Every study is packaged as a self-contained Frictionless Data Package with structured CSV tables (studies, entities, technologies, observations, codes), a datapackage.json descriptor, a Schema.org dataset descriptor, and a human-readable README. The archive is fully audited at three layers (per-study referential integrity, CSV write validation, cross-study cache integrity) with zero failures. Current corpus shape and prescience surfaces are published in the generated ARCHIVE_STATS.md (single source of truth). The corpus spans six decades and carries full-corpus long-horizon (holistic) prescience scoring plus fixed 3-year and 5-year short-horizon reads, with window-elapsed validation on the short-horizon scorer, and PC Deals per-SKU price journeys. v2.1.1 is a documentation and repository-hygiene release: no data, schema, or scoring change from v2.1. Prior versions remain available in the DOI series.
