The plant parts harbor distinct bacterial communities, which may influence the plant growth and productivity. The objective of this study was to investigate bacterial community structure of lotus plant from its roots to the fruits along with lake water and sediments. Samples were collected from three sites approximately one kilometer far from each in the Dal Lake, including water and sediments of the Dal Lake, and roots, rhizomes, leaves, flowers and fruits of lotus.
