The ‘Cancer/normal correlation’ column contains the Spearman rank correlation between the mean gene expression values in the TCGA cancer samples (i.e., the ci,j statistics) and the mean expression values in the associated HPA normal tissue (i.e., the ni.j statistics). The ‘Most correlated’ column lists the HPA normal tissue whose mean expression had the highest rank correlation with cancer mean expression. A value of ‘*’ indicates that the associated normal tissue had the largest correlation.
