Experimental Design Lab

The experiment was conducted at Arboretum Grassland on an afternoon with the temperature of 10°C. Four pans of each colour (red, yellow and white) were filled with soap water. Those pans were set up randomly near the edge of the grassland. Also, they were placed approximately 1 meters apart from each other. This process was repeated at two different location: one in the middle of the grassland and another at the edge of the grassland (near the pond). The pans were left alone for approximately one and half hour. After one and half hour, the type of insects and the number of each of them caught in the pans were observed and recorded. The location and colour of the pans, in which the insects were caught, was also recorded. This experiment was repeated on another afternoon, a week after the first, with the temperature of 9°C.
