From Immigrants to Local Residents: Huguenots, Jews, Bohemians, Poles in Berlin

Research on the migration events (distant migration) of the 17th to the beginning of the 20th century in Berlin. Acceptance, integration, assimilation, acculturation of the individual immigration groups. Both demographic, religious, economic, political, legal and social aspects of the immigrants and long-time residents are considered. By including conflicts within groups the variety of developments in a narrowly limited geographic area (Berlin) is presented. Erforschung des Migrationsgeschehen (Fernwanderung) vom 17. bis Anfang 20. Jahrhundert in Berlin. Aufnahme, Integration, Assimilation, Akkulturation der einzelnen Einwanderungsgruppen. Es werden sowohl demographische, religiöse, wirtschaftliche, politische, rechtliche und soziale Aspekte der Einwanderer und Alteingesessen berücksichtigt. Unter Einschluß von gruppeninternen Konflikten wird die Vielfalt der Entwicklungen in einem eng begrenzten geographischen Raum (Berlin) dargestellt.
