Lahar Risk Ruapehu
收藏资源简介:
This is risk zones based on probability over a timeline and used in our Natural Hazards Viewer but also useful for lifelines and emergency situation response based on fair risk probability of a Lahar entering on to a property. Support for achieving a high state of emergency response preparedness is imperative as the breach of the barrier restraining Crater Lake, Mt Ruapehu. This map has been prepared by mapping the distribution of lahar deposits from Ruapehu, ascertaining their age, and creating zones of differing lahar frequency in the geological past. The configuration of the summit region could change in a future eruption that would change the basis of these lahar frequency zones. At the time of publication the zones provide the most accurate interpretation based on the combined information from studies by all the authors.
