To determine if chromatin state affects DSB repair multiple DR-white constructs were integrated into Drosophila. This construct contains an I-SceI recognition site which is cut upon I-SceI induction. PCR products were then deep sequenced to establish repair footprints in wild-type Drosophila and in flies with a specific knockdown.
