Photoreception in Antarctic isopods, crustaceans and fishes

Fish specimens of Pagothenia borchgrevinki, Dissostichus mawsoni and 4 eel-pouts, along with specimens of invertebrates including Antarctic scallops, the amphipod Orchomene plebs and the Antarctic isopod Glyptonotus antarcticus were used in experimental studies on fish muscles, colour change and chromatophores in fishes and further experiments on the photoreception in Antarctic invertebrates.
