Enhancer profiling to identify identifies epigenetic markers of endocrine resistance in metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer patients

Using fresh-frozen metastatic samples from mCRPC patients enrolled in a phase II clinical trial, collected prior and post to androgen receptor (AR) targeted therapy, we epigenetically profiled enhancer and promoter activity using H3K27ac chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing to identify regions which enable response prediction. These regions were further queried for association with specific candidate factors that drive resistance to hormonal suppression revealing new therapeutic options for mCRPC patients.EGA study EGAS00001006161
