UCLA SLAGC Wildlife Overpass Project: Selected Fungi Samples

This project seeks to support the restoration of the wildlife corridor currently being constructed over the US-101 freeway. We collected hyperlocal fungi samples from the Santa Monica Mountains and inoculated oak tree saplings to be planted on the overpass. The aim is to establish mycorrhizal associations with the saplings so they can most naturally integrate into the landscape of the corridor. This slide deck contains selected fungi samples to aid future identification of mushrooms.
