TCD/ROCKDRIVE/OEP/309

The TCD/ROCKDRIVE/OEP/309 database comprises 309 case histories of open-ended steel displacement piles installed in rock and cemented soils by impact driving. The data are digitized from 41 published sources, including master and doctoral dissertations, journal papers and conference proceedings. The TCD/ROCKDRIVE/OEP/309 database contains details of (1) pile data (e.g., diameter, length, wall thickness, slenderness, steel grade, driving shoes etc.), (2) subsurface strata (e.g., overburden, rock, strength, fracturing, weathering, etc.), (3) installation records (e.g. hammer type, ram mass, drop height, rated energy, final set, predrilling, plugging, structural damage, rock embedment etc.) and (4) load test results (e.g., dynamic testing during installation and restrike, installation stresses and static testing).
