Topics include: respondents' attitudes to daylight saving; whether respondents feel there is over-servicing by doctors and too many operations being performed in hospitals; attitudes to economic issues likely to be seen in Australia in the next few months (inflation, unemployment, strikes and industrial disputes, shortages of goods, interest rates, company profits and dividends); whether the Federal Government is doing enough to close tax avoidance loopholes and which groups are guilty of avoiding tax; and, for women, whether she is responsible for all or most of the household shopping, whether she is employed and approximately how much money is spent weekly on food and groceries. Background variables include: age; sex; marital status; level of education; country of birth; household composition (number of persons in household, number of children under age 5, number of children between 5-12 years old, number of children between 13-17 years old, age of the youngest person, and number of employed persons); whether respondent has moved in last two years; tenure of dwelling; occupation of self and head of household; voting enrolment; vote intention; income; and telephone ownership.
