This series consists of Winlaton (VA 5093) trainee admission index cards. They were compiled when each trainee was first admitted to the institution.The Trainee Admission Index Cards were filled in by staff when trainees were admitted to Winlaton. There is a card for each trainee admitted. The following details are given: name (of trainee); date of admittance; ward no. (if applicable); Medicare no.; date of birth; place (where trainee from); religion; father's name; father's address; mother's name; mother's address; complexion; brought in by; informant (police); station/telephone no.; charge (if applicable); bail/surety; remanded to; re-remanded to.The cards are arranged in the multiple sequences they were transferred to the Department. The first two boxes comprise on sequence; one group from 1985-1988 and another from 1989-1990. Each group is in alphabetical order by surname from A-Z. The rest of the files consist of multiple sequences within one consignment that was transferred to the Department.There are multiple alphabetical sequences, with the date of births ranging from 1965 to 1975, and the trainees admitted c.1981 to c.1990.The following details are given: name (of trainee), date of admittance, ward no.
