Replication of Slovic and Fischhoff's 1977 "The Psychology of Experimental Surprises": Study 1. Mturk Request: "This research is to learn about people's scientific intuitions. Only a small number of people may participate. It is being conducted by Alexander L. Davis as part of the requirement for the Doctorate of Philosophy degree from Carnegie Mellon University. This research is meant to inform scientific policy and practice as well as further scientific knowledge directly.
