Small RNA-sequencing of euthermic (control) and torpid gray mouse lemur (Microcebus murinus) skeletal muscle

Gray mouse lemurs are among the few primates capable of retreating into daily torpor and multi-day hibernation to overcome challenging conditions of cold temperature, food scarcity and limited water availability. Our goal at the Kenneth Storey Lab is to characterize the molecular underpinnings of primate hibernation. As such we performed small RNA RNA-Sequencing to characterize the regulation of differentially expressed microRNAs during torpor.
