The following dataset contains all measurements collected during the development of a low-contact resistance bonding method for bipolar plates (BPs) with both graphite felt electrodes (GFs) and copper current collectors (CCs). A commercially available, unbonded bipolar plate (BPcom.) served as the reference. A weldable, extruded bipolar plate (BPext.) was bonded to the GFs using two different methods: hot-press welding (HPW) and microwave welding (MWW). The resulting electrode assemblies were tested in single-cell and stack vanadium redox flow battery (VRFB) configurations, as described in the manuscript.
