Circular Wood 4 the Neighborhood

This research aims to develop a robotic milling strategy to produce wooden beams. These beams are designed using computational strategies which use structural analysis to inform the geometry of the beam. The geometry is then packed in wooden elements which originate from a demolished building. These elements are glued together according to the packing strategy and are robotically milled to form the designed beam.

本研究旨在开发一种用于制备木梁的机器人铣削策略。此类木梁通过计算设计策略完成建模，该策略依托结构分析确定木梁的几何形态。随后基于该几何形态，对源自拆除建筑的木构件进行拼接排布，并按照该拼接排布策略将各木构件胶合，再经机器人铣削加工，最终得到符合设计要求的木梁。
