MODIS (MCD43A3) black sky albedo on the MAR RCM Grid (2000-2012)

MODIS black sky albedo (BSA) data from the MCD43A3 Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) and Albedo product have been aggregated to the 25 km resolution grid of the Modèle Atmosphérique Régionale (MAR) regional climate model for comparison and data assimilation purposes. MCD43A3 BSA data have been reprojected to the MAR v3.2 grid, and have been assigned to the closest MAR grid box based on distance from the center of each grid box. The yearly files are labeled in the following format: MCD43A3.Ayyyy.005.MAR.best.mat and MCD43A3.Ayyyy.005.MAR.allq.mat The files ending with ".best.mat" were produced only with data flagged as "good quality" within the MODIS product, while all albedo data provided the MCD43A3 product were used to produce the files ending with "allq.mat". The files contain the following variables time (a vector indicating the time of the start of each MODIS 16-day period) average (average MODIS value within each grid box) median (median MODIS value within each grid box) n (number of good MODIS values within each grid box) number (number of MODIS grid boxes assigned to each MAR grid box) stdev (standard deviation of MODIS data assigned to each grid box) The variables each have the dimensions (110 x 60 x 16), where 110 is the MAR y-coordinate dimension, 60 is the MAR x-coordinate dimension, and 16 is the time dimension.
