PoKi is a large-scale dataset comprising approximately 62,000 poems created by children, developed by the National Research Council Canada. These poems are student works spanning from Grade 1 to Grade 12 of primary and secondary education, and each poem is accompanied by the grade level of its author, providing rich resources for research on children’s language and emotional development. The poems in the dataset were sourced from the official website of Scholastic Corporation, and were curated into this dataset after obtaining formal authorization. PoKi is particularly suitable for research on children’s emotional development, especially studies focusing on emotional expression and emotional regulation mechanisms.
