Stratigraphic data from the Lower Pleistocene succession in borehole cores, southeast Lithuania, Baltic region, NE Europe

The dataset includes lithological logs of boreholes that penetrated the Lower Pleistocene succession in the Medininkai (Ašmena) Highland, southeast Lithuania, Baltic region (northeast Europe). The lithological descriptions were translated from the original Russian using ChatGPT Plus 4 and subsequently verified and corrected by a Russian-speaking geologist. The original profiles are from the report of the Lithuanian Geological Survey by Satkūnas et al. (1991). The dataset also contains a list of samples collected from these boreholes to investigate the depositional history prior to the first advance of the Fennoscandian Ice Sheet into the area, as well as a list of the analytical methods applied to these samples.
