Economic Sustainability of Early GALVmed

The purpose of the study was to gain insight into factors affecting the sustainability of Newcastle Disease (ND) vaccination for all stakeholders in the distribution chain including retailers, vaccinators, and smallholder poultry farmers. Data were collected among smallholder poultry farmers, retailers, and vaccinators in India and Nepal between April to June 2016. A total of 30 retailers, 54 vaccinators, and 251 smallholder farmers were interviewed on topics such as poultry productivity and income, the cost of vaccination services, and income from the sale of ND vaccines.
